Hi, my name is Will Dugan. And in the over-all scheme of things, I'm not anybody important (although,
thankfully, there are a few people who would argue with me on that point). I don't have any words to
convey to you that will dramatically impact your life and set you on a new path of a more meaningful
existence (well, maybe I actually do, but that's not the point of the message on this web page).
What I would like to tell you about, briefly, is this: I have recently published a book of poetry that
you might be interested in. It's called, "Am I A Poet?"
"Am I A Poet?" is a selection of 29 pieces that I have written over the years. I call them pieces
because there are some folk who might argue that some of what I write is not poetry. And they might be
right - on some intellectual level (gee whiz, there's even a recipe in there). And I wouldn't argue with
those people - but then, I very seldom argue with anyone over anything - I enjoy my "live and let live"
way of life.
I consider some of what I have written to be "serious" poetry that I would hope would be critically
accepted as such. But, a lot of what I write is more along the lines of "goofy word-play". Yes, I like
to play with words.
I like something that has rhyme and rhythm and rolls off the tongue. I enjoy words that make me giggle
(and actually sometimes "right-out-loud-laugh"). I try to write words that you will enjoy reading out
loud for the sound that they make.
If you have read this far … you just might be the "kind of down-home folk" that would enjoy some of my
poetry. "Am I A Poet?" is available as a Kindle edition and also as a downloadable pdf file (that can be
read on almost any computer or printed out to be … well, whatever you want to do with it).
It's only 99 cents, so it's not like you're going to waste some money on some "high-falutin", artsy-fartsy
poetry book filled with gobble-de-gook that you can't even read. So, please buy my book. Or better yet,
please buy it twice - once for your Kindle and once for the pdf edition - so you can print out some poems
to share with others.
Thanks,
Will Dugan
