The Tears Of An Angel
Poetry By Will Dugan (Originally published under the Pen Name of Blind Melon Ugly Dude)

The tears of an Angel
just fell on my soul.
Why is she crying?
I really must know.

Crying with passion,
tears run down her cheek.
Cry for the helpless.
Cry for the meek.

Meek once was a virtue.
The Good Book says so.
But do pounders of pulpit
ever preach so?

The tears of an Angel
are cold and they're hot.
They fall where you are,
but they touch where you're not.
Crying with sadness,
for much has been lost.
There are things that we value
but know not the cost.

Pride once was a sin.
One of seven I'm told.
Yet leaders are oblivious ...
and they do it in BOLD.

The tears of an Angel ...
we are meant to take heed ...
will nourish good wonders
if we'll just plant the seed.
