Roots Wings And Seeds
Poetry By Will Dugan (Originally published under the Pen Name of Blind Melon Ugly Dude)
Find satisfaction in the heritage of roots, though pride is not your due.
A history of accomplishments - Good feelings inside.
The sensation of belonging - A safe place to abide.
The price you must pay is, every day, when tested be tried and true.
Find excitement in the adventure of wings; each day can bring a new test.
The challenge of innovation can make you feel good inside.
Adapting to new surroundings to find a safe place to abide.
The price you must pay is, every day, when tested to give it your best.
Find fulfillment in the seeds that you sow whether by root or by wing.
The answer to a higher calling is to provide a safe place to abide.
We have obligations to our children to give them good feelings inside.
Please know that your deeds are actually seeds of which the future will sing.
